BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the international reference frameworks for the environmental assessment of real estate projects.

IRICE acts as an independent third-party evaluator , in accordance with the principles of impartiality, neutrality and traceability applicable to third-party evaluation bodies.

Its role is to ensure the consistency of the assessment, the transparency of the criteria applied and the rigor of the analysis on all the themes covered by BREEAM.

Why is IRICE involved in BREEAM?

IRICE applies the principles of independence from the ISO/IEC 17065 standard to conduct environmental assessment missions on projects subject to BREEAM.

His interventions notably cover:

the analysis of environmental performance at each phase of the project;
documentary verification of actions undertaken;
traceability and archiving of evidence produced;
the preparation of an independent assessment report intended for the BREEAM certifier.

This intervention does not constitute a certification and does not replace the roles of the BREEAM certifier or the design teams.
